Sunset Cabin

Escape the rat race and relax at a slower pace,

Sunset Cabin

Our beautiful and unique cabin is not your everyday rental Sunset Cabin has evolved along with our family over the years as a place to relax catch up and eat great food and enjoy each others company in this private secluded space, situated on the out skirts of the village of East Coker Somerset.

Sunset Cabin boasts a large veranda that boarders on Naish Priory

Dating back to the 14 Century.  Recently the TS Eliot Society have become the custodians and it is to become a writers and poets retreat so you can be sure of a very private and peaceful stay here.

Sun Set Cabin

The cabin has a well equipped kitchen with a fridge, sink, 2 ring hob a microwave, air fryer and Toaster and a few other options like outside BBQ for the warmer months. There is a double bedroom with a ensuite bathroom. And a comfy lounge area with sofa ,relaxing chair and a tv with Ruku to connect to netflix etc . And dedicated WFI . There is a drop leaf table for eating indoors on those chilly nights or for use as a work space .  There's underfloor heating in the bathroom and the bedroom and a wood burner in the living room.

The Pièce de résistance is the outside space accessed through the side of the cabin through the double doors to this stunning veranda area very private with a dinning table that can accommodate 6-8 people plus a small out door sofa area for those perfect sundowners.

As we now head into the colder winter months the beautiful Autumn colours surround us, this is the time to light the wood burner and snuggle up,,,,,,,and relax,,,,

Further down the reservoir there's a small Canoe club starter courses available from just £5 please see website for more details the club also caters for Stand Up Paddleboards.

What Folks are saying about the Cabin

Matt and Karina

Our very first guest

"We were delighted to be the very first guests at Sunset Cabin and what a stay it was! Having stayed at dozens of AirBnbs in the UK, this was the first one my partner said "it's perfect" when she walked in. Serene, beautiful and well equipped. I really can't rate this place highly enough. And as for Henry, well, you couldn't ask for a nicer, more caring host. But he also kept his distance so we had a really nice uninterrupted stay. It gets a very rare 10 out of 10 from us."

Tim

"I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay at Henry's little cabin. The setting was like being in a park, the property backs up to a huge natural area owned by the TS Elliott society. There are loads of trees, a pond, birds, what a treasure! The place itself was a nice size, very cozy but plenty of space to move around. The bed was fantastic and all the little details were right on point. There's a covered sitting area just outside that overlooks the grounds next door, what a treat it was to have my morning tea outside listening to the birds. I really enjoyed my stay here and can't recommend it enough for a peaceful getaway!"

A lovely cosy cabin! It’s in an extremely peaceful and private area with a lovely view from the outside deck. The cabin is lovely and warm even in colder weather with the underfloor heating and log burner! Couldn’t recommend Henry’s cabin more and Henry is equally as friendly, welcoming and helpful! Will definitely be back very soon 😊

Though we arrived late in the evening after travelling from North Wales, Henry had prepared us a roaring fire to warm up the cabin and greeted us with such kindness. Sunset cabin is such a lovely, private and peaceful place to stay and has been decorated beautifully; you feel right at home. A welcome basket, with fresh bread, eggs and milk was a blessing and we were ever so grateful to receive. We look forward to returning in the spring to see the nature come alive and to enjoy breakfast outside. Thank you for such a lovely stay Henry and Debbie - you guys are fantastic and have such a gem of a place!

Isobel

We are so happy we stayed here and couldn't think of a single fault. We had a very warm welcome, a quick tour and explanation of the fire place. It was instantly cosy and we felt right at home. Sitting outside, even in the cold (there was plenty of blanket options), was so peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped to make most meals and we didn't feel cold at all. Henry was an enthusiastic and happy host, very responsive. We would definitely visit again, can't recommend enough!

Tracy and Wayne

We had a fantastic stay at Sunset Cabin, The cabin itself is lovely and clean with a comfy bed and contains everything you need for a little get away. The location was ideal with some lovely walks around the local area and with a large supermarket only 10 mins drive away. Our host's Henry & Debbie were excellent with very good knowledge of the area Thank You for such a great stay (Already planning our next trip) Wayne and Tracy
